When starting out, the world of academia can be complicated. All too often, vital skills are picked up in a trial and error basis. Seeing the common issues and mistakes encountered by junior practitioners motivated the development of the ESGE Academic Skills Course. We aim to deliver a concise, practical approach to streamlining academic endeavours, making life that little bit easier.
Live demonstrations are an important teaching tool, offering insight into how leaders in various fields approach both routine and complex scenarios. The audience will have the opportunity to pose questions and discuss the cases with the experts during the recap on the following day. The live demonstrations will follow the ESGE Live Endoscopy Event guidelines.
The symposia will cover all endoscopic procedures. They will combine evidence based knowledge (ESGE guidelines review) and practical tips and tricks for everyday use.
Specialists from different fields will debate the logistics surrounding endoscopy, such as sedation, hygiene, equipment, local and European regulations.
The hugely successful ESGE Learning Area will feature as part of ESGE Days 2018. Hands-on training will focus on key skills and provide small group tutelage. Multimedia stations will showcase the ESGE eLearning teaching modules which supplement the learning objectives of the hands-on training.
An opportunity to get up-close to the experts for the chance to ask questions, share ideas and develop new networks.
The highest quality abstracts / videos submitted to ESGE Days 2018 will be selected through an anonymous process. They will be displayed in various modalities, such as oral presentations, video case sessions, ePosters or standard posters. A selection will be awarded for the best entries.
Industry partners are invited to sponsor breakfasts, luncheons and evening symposia. The companies are responsible for the content of their sponsored sessions. Prior approval of content should be sought from the ESGE Days scientific committee.
